Ulster Scot

📘 English Definition(英文释义)
  1. A 'dialect' supposed to be derived from that of Scottish settlers who came to Ireland a long time ago, however it's actually not a language at all, and sounds laughably more like someone merely speaking slang words in a Ballymena farmer's accent..\r
  2. Interestingly though, governments seem to be fooled by this quest for lingual recognition, and are happy to throw money at the cause ! Maybe they're just happy that they're doing something other than drug dealing and whacking each other for a change....\r
  3. > Ulster Scots:
  4. > "Ey boy, whers tha wife the day ?"
  5. > "ah... shi'll b back air at home wi tha waynes !"
  6. > English Translation:
  7. > "Hey mate, wheres your wife today ?"
  8. > "Aha, she'll be back there at home with the children."
